VÉLA ("we", "us") operates the website velasails.net and a travel concierge service offered over messaging channels including Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp and email. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

What we collect

What you tell us. The details you share with the concierge to plan a journey — destinations, dates, preferences, party size, and the contact handle you message us from (e.g. your Telegram, Instagram or WhatsApp ID, or email address).
Messages. The content of your conversations with the concierge, so we can help you and improve the service.
Usage data. Basic, non-identifying analytics about how velasails.net is used (pages viewed, approximate region, device type).
Affiliate clicks. When you follow a partner link (e.g. flights, experiences, insurance), our partners may set a cookie to attribute a resulting booking to us. We do not receive your payment details.

How we use it

To plan, arrange and look after your travel.
To respond to you on the channel you contacted us through.
To improve the quality and accuracy of the concierge.
To receive affiliate commission when you book through our partner links, at no extra cost to you.

Meta platforms

When you message us on Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp, your message is delivered to us through Meta's platforms in accordance with Meta's own terms and policies. We use this only to read and respond to your enquiry. We do not use it for unrelated advertising.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the suppliers necessary to arrange your journey (for example an airline, hotel or experience provider) and with service providers that help us operate (such as hosting). We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal or accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
