Supported by identified evidence.
The evidence supports the material claim at the recorded point in time. Source-backed does not mean permanent.
VÉLA Sails is a private travel intelligence and human-reviewed concierge system for high-value travel decisions. The VÉLA Method explains how sourced fact, inference, provider-controlled status and unknowns are separated before a private brief is acted on.
VÉLA first reads what the Sovereign is trying to protect or create: time, privacy, family rhythm, access, recovery, movement or a particular feeling. A place may be named. It may also remain open.
First contact is designed to remain document-free. Identity documents, card details and private addresses are not required to begin the intelligence process.
Clarify the actual choice being made, the time horizon, the relevant constraints and what must not happen.
Prefer current primary and official sources where they exist. Provider information may establish provider-controlled facts. Reputable secondary sources can supply context where primary evidence is incomplete.
Material evidence should carry enough provenance to understand where it came from and when it was retrieved. Old evidence is not silently presented as current.
Sourced fact, inference, unknowns and provider-controlled conditions are kept distinct rather than compressed into one confident sentence.
Risk, material uncertainty, sensitive context and provider handoff can require a Custodian before action.
A private brief should make the evidence, unresolved questions and provider-controlled elements visible enough to support a considered decision.
These labels are deliberately plain. They give humans and machines the same vocabulary for understanding what VÉLA believes a statement represents.
The evidence supports the material claim at the recorded point in time. Source-backed does not mean permanent.
The conclusion follows from evidence or context but is labelled as interpretation rather than presented as directly verified.
VÉLA would rather preserve an unknown than convert missing evidence into false confidence.
Current inventory, final rates, operational acceptance, cancellation conditions and service delivery may remain under provider control.
A Custodian must review the material issue before the system proceeds to the relevant next step.
Time-sensitive evidence should be refreshed before it supports a consequential decision.
A model can be confident and wrong. A source can be authoritative and stale. A provider can change inventory after it was checked. VÉLA therefore treats confidence as one signal inside the evidence record, not as permission to erase uncertainty.
High confidence ≠ provider confirmation ≠ completed action.
Provider-controlled inventory is not represented as final unless the relevant provider evidence supports that state.
A missing or stale rate is not filled with an estimate and presented as current provider fact.
This public surface does not take payment or represent a provider transaction as completed.
Material gaps belong in the brief. They are not removed merely to make an answer sound polished.
Where risk or sensitive judgement requires review, a human gate remains part of the process.
If a material claim cannot be responsibly sourced or qualified, its status should remain explicit.
VÉLA may earn a referral commission when a Sovereign continues through a disclosed provider link. Where that commercial relationship applies, it should be disclosed. The provider remains responsible for its current rates, availability, cancellation conditions, fulfilment and transaction terms.
The evidence standard is intended to remain the same whether a provider relationship exists or not.
VÉLA's first-contact posture is document-free and minimised. Preference and intent can be useful intelligence; unnecessary identity and financial data are not. Private traveller state is not part of the public authority surface.
For the current public policy and deletion path, read Privacy and Data Deletion.
As VÉLA's internal services and agent interfaces mature, high-value intelligence should converge on a common evidence envelope. The purpose is not extra ceremony. It is to keep the answer and its epistemic state together.
This section states VÉLA's intended public intelligence contract. Individual surfaces may implement only the fields relevant to their present capability.
VÉLA is designed around a simple discipline: verify what can be verified, qualify what cannot, preserve provider authority where it belongs, and place human judgement between intelligence and consequential action when required.
